After therapy funded by the Rawkstars community, Juli took the stage and was able to thank the audience in her own beautiful voice.
I connected with a Portland, ME. based company called MedRhythms who do amazing work using music and technology to treat strokes, MS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other neurologic diseases.
They were seeing a young woman named Juli, who had lost her ability to speak after suffering a stroke. Despite making good progress, Juli and her family were unable to continue paying for treatments, which are not covered by insurance.
After meeting Juli and her brother Wander, Rawkstars stepped in to cover their therapy expenses. They later came and spoke about their experience at one of our events. Juli took the stage and was able to thank the audience in her own beautiful voice.
Tears flowed.
